Look at how much you pay for taxes and ask whether four kids could be raised on that. The answer is likely no for anyone not in the top top percentiles.
Edit-google says 12980/kid per year. That’s 51,920 for four. Edit-if that’s 30% of income (guesstimate) that income needs to be 173-200k (guesstimate) to work out.
As a FAANG engineer, that's considerably less than half of my pre-tax income, so abso-fucking-lutely. And for once I'm using the word fucking correctly...
Of course the wife is past child-bearing age, so she might have some issues with the whole idea :)
No. Kids are a full-time job and with 4 of them there would be little time for anything else. So what if I pay no taxes, id still have to work to earn money to feed, house, clothe, educate, entertain them. All the whole public services would be deprived of even more funding making it even harder if anything ever goes wrong like a major illness, becoming disabled, having a special needs child, being a single parent, schools closed for a snow day... the list goes on.

[ 3.6 ms ] story [ 33.5 ms ] threadYes. Given that option I would go hook up with someone right now. I just have one question:
- What guarantee would I have that this is not a bait-and-switch? e.g. I have more kids and then they repeal the deal
