Reversing population decline is one of the hard challenges which few countries have ever even had the slightest hint of success doing - we are talking isolated episodic examples like Australia's McCrindle baby bonus and maybe Ceaucescu Romania - so we had better come to terms with growing human beings as a supplement to, if not replacement for, natural birth
GI is here, now. It doesn't seem to have much effect on the decision process. Why do you think AGI would have any effect?
At least directly. Theoretically, I guess, if AGI somehow precipitated a significant increase in global education levels and, especially, female education levels, then it would have an indirect effect on birth rates. But I'm not sure what that link from AGI to education would entail.
AGI would be able to do exponentially better than any baby human, and the solution out of that is in brain-machine interfaces, meta morphing Humans & AI , so any baby born today, will probably need a chip, just to be close to AGI capabilities, now the question returns, why would we need babies at that time if we're just trying to get them closer to AGI?

AGI comes, understands/processes/takes action on everything, including "Emotions" more efficiently than humans.
