Looking at the comments section, the misleading narrative of H-1B workers being underpaid is so damn widespread. It is an issue where some crook firms exploit it but isn't one when it comes to Big Tech. Why would employers willingly spend thousands of dollars of immigration expenses if they could do without it and hire US workers? The employment-based visa program has tons of flaws but cheap labor isn't one of them.
