Mozilla plans ground-up UI redesign for Thunderbird email client this July (arstechnica.com)

Oh god, I hope they preview the UI and give us the option of not using it if we don't like it.

I'm happy with Thunderbird as it is. It would be nice if they preserve the current design and have an option to select it.

Why not just link to the original blog post on the Thunderbird blog... instead of to another news aggregator site's reporting of it?
