Interesting, it appears the simulation is done with netlist generated from the layout, so it's not a toy TCAD but something else?

It calls Magic VLSI under the hood using a custom siliwiz tech. Magic does transistor/parasitic/netlist extraction and the result is simulated using SPICE.
