How does this tie into all the building code amnesty rulings the government supported the last few years there? I feel horrible for the people there.
In the US it’s socialized risk / privatized gain. It’s interesting to see the flip side happen in an autocratic regime - privatized risk / socialized gain. Ultimately in this case the government is actually at fault but it puts private parties heads on a spike for taking advantage of the incentives the government provided while ethical parties were pushed out as they couldn’t remain economically viable.
When I see a conviction I'll be satisfied. You can arrest pretty much anybody.
