I think it’s 40% threat of CN invasion and 60% wise business decision. The plant was planned quite a bit before Ukraine made people realize that it could happen to Taiwan.
If anything, the fact that most world leaders were so unified on something like Ukraine probably made CN think harder about things as strategically important as the fabs in Taiwan.
