Now if they would allow me to permanently disable Edge for PDFs. Every week and sometimes several times a week I need to reset Windows 10 default PDF reader off of Edge and back to SumatraPDF. Or delete Edge entirely.
I work with secure pdfs at work quite often, and yes Edge randlomy try to open pdfs. Sending me to reset the pdf handler to an external app or force a download and then open app, point to file, open.

under my breath...another worklfow broken grumblegrumble and time added when I did not need it grumblegrumble, how do I force a change/automate, more time lost grumblegrumble

IE still works great on my XP box, the last Microsoft product I will ever own.
I liked Windows 7 too but XP is something I will never forget. It literally felt like XP was decades ahead of 98SE when it came out. Loved it, even though I had to reinstall it weekly for neighbors and family members due to Blaster. The installation process is embedded in my brain along with FCKGW… :) What do you use XP for? And on what hardware? I’m envious now.
I use it mainly for programming and managing ham radios, lots of software never made it into the 64-bit post-XP era.
