This is getting to beyond coincidence now....
- There is a train collision or derailment every 1.5 hours in the U.S.

- Trains carrying hazardous chemicals derail every 2 weeks.

- The FRA reports that 80% of railroad crossings do not provide adequate warnings.

- Most train accidents are caused by human factors, track causes, or equipment.

Yes, it's gone so far past coincidence it's now in the realm of statistical certainty

I.e. cost cuts across the board. We just don't want to point to those that decided the cost cuts and reaped the benefits, but to those that had to implement them.

Yeah, but the train operator "union" is the only one concerned about these factors, and our current cultural beliefs is that union's are greedy, therefore there must not be any train derailments. It's why Fox, NBC, and CBS have severely underreported on the East Palestine wreck
