Ask HN: Open-source software to manage a list of computer tasks

Let me try to explain. We have a licensed software with a limited number of licenses. Each license is able to perform a simulation.

What I need is to create somehow a queue of simulations. Ideally, I would like that the manage of the queue could be done via browser, so anybody can add their simulations to the queue.

I am pretty sure this type of software exists, but I can't find it because I don't know what name has. Looking for task managers just give me todo-list applications.
