I was morbidly hoping to find a story about tech gone bad. A rogue AI or similar.

What I found was yet another compelling reason to begin a mental health in the workplace discussion. I do not know what Intel offers in terms of support for their employees, families, and contractors, but I hope they have something and that this was not a result of having nothing available (or having it be available but it being used as a tool to fire people with).

This is not about “mental health” and employers just need to pay employees money. Employees can take up the burden of not being a murderous psycho on their own time.
