What they are describing as ‘hell’ is regarded as an attractive working class job by many in China. By these standards, Teslas are made in hell, and Twitter is hell these days too.

This tries to be an anti-Apple hit piece, but is really an anti-China piece in disguise.

"Workers describe a peak production season marred by labor protests" sounds like the workers have some reason to protest, regardless of their social status. Just saying that it's not as bad as some other job doesn't negate their protests.
“Hunter […] spent eight hours watching orientation videos on his phone. A frequent pop-up asking for a facial scan made sure he was paying attention.“

This is truly dystopian and horrifying.

> Winston sprang to attention in front of the telescreen...

> "'Smith!' screamed the shrewish voice from the telescreen. '6079 Smith W.! Yes, you! Bend lower, please! You can do better than that. You're not trying. Lower, please! That's better, comrade. Now stand at ease, the whole squad, and watch me.'"

> A sudden hot sweat had broken out all over Winston's body. His face remained completely inscrutable. Never show dismay! Never show resentment! A single flicker of the eyes could give you away.

Let's send seymourhersh to work in one of these factories for a few years and he can report back what he finds. This way we can get a more objective viewpoint.
