You know what? I don't think so. Harry Potter doesn't have the sweep of Lord of the Rings, the charm of Narnia, the morality, insight and prose of Earthsea. Harry Potter is tied to the mid 90s - there's Wizarding radio, but no Wizarding internet, for example. At least Lev Grossman had the good sense to mention that magic and microelectronics don't mix well in The Magicians.
Harry Potter is just another Biggles, another Tom Swift.
Biggles had a remarkably long run, and continues to have fans. W.E.Johns hardback 1st editions in good condition are valuable.
I only really know about Sakhalin island, because of Biggles. Snoopy taught us all about the sopwith camel, but the SE.5 and albatross, you need to reach back to Johns.
