That's a 4 year old Android version. This should not be acceptable.

I like the form factor though.

While I agree it's ridiculous to continue selling a device with Android 9 in 2023, the atom was released in 2018.

The newer Jelly 2e runs android 12 and is a similar form factor. I've had high hopes for unihertz phones, but have yet to actually pull the trigger on one.

Unihertz phones are sadly kluggy clunkers - long ago I had hope they'd be able to make a reasonable QWERTY phone but they've all been disappointing (ignoring the weird keyboard layouts due to BlackBerry's patent limbo)
FM radio receiver and a headphone jack! Both are hard to find and on my wishlist. This might be my next phone.
Moto G has had these for a while, not sure if it’s still the case but it’s the only phone I can get my mom because she likes listening to the radio.
The last time I looked at Unihertz, as an American, it didn't make sense. The antennas were (completely?) unusable here sadly.

Maybe something has changed? I love some of the Hisense E-Ink phones as well -- same issue.
