Ask HN: Fictional Medical Coding Question

1 points by pyuser583 ↗ HN
I’ve had some interesting conversations on HN about quirks in medical coding, so …

In the movie Tenet, a character is moving backwards in time and is caught in a gasoline explosion. Because all effects are reversed, they experience the heat as cold. Another character remarks: “you might be first case of hypothermia from gasoline explosion in all of history.”

Could modern medical coding systems report a case of hypothermia from gasoline explosion?
