An important thing to remember is that these will be mostly worthless and out of date in 30 months. Off the shelf parts will be better than these machines produce. And these fav machines are so complex, coming from so many places so many pieces. Having the blueprints and building one are not the same.
You can't hide advances in technology. Merely the fact that something exists means that there is at least one way to do it. And probably more than one way, and many of the new ways being even better, faster and cheaper.
