Amazon is dropping Kindle Subscriptions

One of my favorite magazines (that I subscribe to via Kindle) said Amazon is stopping all subscriptions.

They intend to replace it with Kindle Unlimited, but it isn’t clear which publications are included!

This is pretty big stuff, if true.

If I understand correctly, that means we can read all favorite magazines for a flat monthly fee?

From what I can tell, there are exceptions for big magazines - they will continue as being subscribed to.

Smaller magazines will only be included if both Amazon and and the smaller magazine agree on it.

Some magazine editors have straight up said they have no idea.

It seems Amazon is using uncertainty to increase fear.

Seems like Amazon is being a jerk about.

To answer your question: nobody knows what this will look like.

I have been looking for an alternative for Apple News. If this is true, then it would be worth looking at.
