This comes weeks after Google shut down it's other robotics bet, Everyday Robots. Both Intrinsic and Everyday Robots are recent bets; first one launched in 2019 and Intrinsic robots started in 2021.
Intrinsic recent had a layoff that's 40 employees and 20% of its company - it's a small team and around 100 robots in a big number. Makes me wonder if Google plans to shut down Intrinsic too. If that's true, it's sad to see all the robotics initiative shut down, especially after Intrinsic acquired Open Source Robotics Corp, the team that developed ROS and ROS 2.
