Ask HN: How to find projects for my team?

My team just finished a two year project. And now we are without a project on hand. We are doing a few small ones to keep busy but without a medium or big one on hand, I don’t think the team will be sustainable. This tech recession is not ideal to lose a job. I have been reaching out to other offices in other countries to see if we can help out. What other advice would you give to find projects?

What is your team good at? That is, what kind of needs can it serve if it stays together as opposed to dispersing?

Where are you based geographically? How did you get your last project?

What is your team good at?

We try to do projects that give business value for internal and external stakeholders by utilising machine learning and big data.

Where are you based geographically?

Asia office, but our company allows us to take on projects with different offices around the world.

How did you get your last project?

I took over the project from the previous manager who got sacked by senior management for being toxic (too many complaints).

Put some work into the open source dependencies of the project you just completed, or other projects your team or company depends on.
