The Sugar Association is worried about limiting sugar. And Campbell's soup is concerned about limiting salt. What a shock!

All of the industry response here reminds me of the tobacco industry documents [0] in the UCSF archive. It's full of statements like "no conclusive links to health outcomes" and "smoking might be part of a lifestyle," the exact same things these food companies are saying.

Of course people should eat whatever they want. But... the misleading wording and labeling is really manipulative and wrong. The article mentions Chile's more direct warning labels. They're pretty interesting.
