As a metrically inclined friend, your metrical formula is wrong, it is kg for weight allright but meters for height (not centimeters) or you need to multiply by 10,000, see example here:

I think measurement is probably the most important part of losing weight. Outside the obvious: wanting to actually lose weight. Are you going to measure anything else besides weight?

I would measure lots of stuff just to see multiple correlations with my weight loss. So I measured a couple body parts with tape measure (neck chest waist hips thighs), weighed myself and tracked calories pretty loosely (eyeballing within 100s of calories).

The calorie tracking is great for portion control, and the measurement creates many different ways of having little successes and progress. Your weight will bounce around a lot during the week but I found the tape measure wasn't as variable.

You kinda have to "love" being hungry. Once I had the perception change that hunger meant "drink water to fill up and help lipolysis" as opposed to "obsessively ideate over the sensation and fantasize about next meal" the pounds started melting off.

It's all self control with a clear desire to actually be skinny. Layering in exercise or fasting is just hard mode in my opinion. You can lose an enormous amount of weight just walking a couple hours a week.

I disagree on having to love being hungry. I strongly believe a diet will not succeed long-term if it makes you hungry. The only times I've ever been able to lose significant weight was when I was never hungry during the diet.
