so. many. words. Mostly about funding this and funding that.

buried deep in the article is a half-sentence description of what they are actually trying to do:

yes rich people have always tried to buy their way out of death. maybe some day they will pull it off.
Right now they've got Ozempic. That will buy them a few extra years to figure it out.
I'm not sure why billionaires don't put more money into it. Maybe they do? We can go to Mars after we eliminate death from old age
Larry Ellison used to put a lot of money in it, not sure if it's still the case.
As a non-American, I'm pretty much amazed by the U.S. Country has its own share of problems sure, but it seems like the only place with a lot of ultra-rich people willing to bet their pockets on super-ambitious moonshots...some or even most of them may be silly, but the few that succeed make enormous impact (e.g., SpaceX).
