Under the guise of "We provide unique Support Specialists for different [age] group[s]" the contact page for a MacOS consumer app is requiring users to supply their age grouping. Is that legal? Even in Europe?

I have a feeling it's no legal in Europe but not sure about elsewhere. It's definitely a questionable practice to require it.
