This is scary. This is why you should use sourcehut or self-host.
I'm not brave enough to try with my account, but I wonder what happens if you do that from the command line and then create a PR in someone else's repo.
I think it only impacts new accounts, because you can find older files on GitHub with that content. Not sure though.
Can someone explain the significance of the "#EXTM3U" content? I only know .m3u as an extension for an MP3 playlist.
Thanks. So it was related to MP3 playlists. I still don't get it though. Why is it triggering Github to ban accounts? Is it a random glitch, or is some automated process flagging up that people are using Github to store their MP3 archives --and acting accordingly?
I don't know the reason, but I don't like it. Nothing is wrong with that content, as you see its literally defined in the RFC.
