rent your own $5 a month server from digital ocean and another $5 server from vultr and practice syncing data between the two in a new language you haven't used before. Make it an open source repo. Name it something cool. Tell others you have this cool new solution for X want to see a demo?

Can you discuss a bit more about what you do and what you dislike about it? Are you looking to dig deeper into the field but with a spark of passion or delve into other things?
