New Zealand should be on this list. We Australians on here should be big enough to admit that if Australia was a fruit of the forest mixed berry yoplait, then New Zealand is the best bit that you lick off the under side of the foil lid
Lately ive been thinking its weird these kinds of things are texts posts on reddit. Honestly this should be a blog post and the op should be able to run an ad or ask for subscribers. Reddit communities are way to hostile to original offsite content. I think its bad for motivating the kind of content generators that would be good for the internet.
Speaking as a dude who has solo traveled a bit, the differences between countries are incredibly exaggerated. Especially if you're a tourist going to touristy places. Safety namely being from violent crime. Soft crimes like pickpocketing or getting scammed are common in most of the world.
Literally all of Europe is safe. Caveat being Ukraine.
E/SE Asia is slightly more chaotic for a beginner but safe. You're incredibly unlikely to encounter violent crime. Would skip Burma for obvious reasons. I wouldn't trust this list considering it doesn't include Tokyo as a safe place. Or Singapore.. or South Korea..
Oceania / Micronesia is very tourist oriented. If you're traveling in Australia don't fall for some farm work stay bullshit.
Africa and South America are the most variable, look up by country. Don't get caught in an ethnic conflict...
Also this entire post is shitty content marketing.
Berkshire Hathaway Travel Protection has a long history of asking travelers where they’re going, why they’re traveling, and what constitutes a safe destination to them. We conducted our first traveler research in 2016 and have been doing studies ever since.
In our survey, we ask people where they’ve traveled in the last five years, and only the people who have visited specific countries are allowed to rate those countries on safety.
