Ask HN: A Tool to plan KPIs and keep track of them?

We are looking for a tool that would help us pland and make sure we are on the right track for PPC metrics: advertising budget, conversion rate, cost per click,etc.

It may not be specifically designed for PPC, it's okay if it's a generic system.

The main goal is to use it to help us track the performance and if something is not okay - let us know.

What can you suggest?

Isn't google analytics + excel enough ? I used to use only this to report my PPC metrics and it was fine. There are plenty of solutions but it was very simple and easy to do. Maybe you should just look for an Excel template ?

until you need something more excel/sheets is good. After you graduate I have heard https://metric.ai is good

Couldn't agree more on Excel. Not only it's KISS, but the kind of team that expects KPIs will want the Excel export anyway.

You can fill both a periodic form / monthly report, and an all-time table

The former can be printed and proudly features to teams. The latter can be converted to CSV to be ingested by any tool, and to do charts.
