Do people really want govts (which is just the embodied violence of your neighbors) telling you how many children to have (because the population crisis) or what energy to use (because climate change) or what tech can exist (ai xrisk) or thoughts to have (social credit).
There is a future in which Sam Altman is following more erratic trajectory, like that of Elon Musk, Elizabeth Holmes or Sam Bankman-Fried. And then there is one, in which it is more like Paul Allen and Bill Gates ones.
