They have leverage over Cook, as he is still primarily a business executive and will not do any moves which would jeopardize the bottom line and the fantasy of infinite growth.

Apple has not released a single new concept since Jobs passed away. They can and will be overtaken by someone who won’t sell their dream to AppleCorp.
