This reddit post, combined with a video I've been seeing everywhere today (https://youtu.be/ruKJCiAOmfg) makes me wonder if Bill Gates made any investment or has any other relationship with Wayve.
Wayve does pretty impressive stuff with their end-to-end approach (and their papers are pretty good), but I personally believe a more modular approach like Waymo or Cruise is how things are going to be in the future.
