So AI is taking away BuzzFeed jobs? And people are scared of it? I wish I could buy this AI a beer.
The writers at Buzzfeed using AI to help write articles , maybe we can consider them savvy entrepreneurs, and this is not an attempt to sugarcoat their actions. This situation exemplifies the concept of Table As Set, which means that if you offer a money-making opportunity to the public, you should expect people to take advantage of it. If you don't want computer-generated stories, then stop paying for them and explore alternative business models. As technology advances, it will become increasingly difficult to distinguish between human and AI-generated content. Furthermore, these individuals are not guilty of plagiarism because they are using AI as ghostwriters, just like traditional publishers have used ghostwriters for years. This is no different from the case of deceased authors like Tom Clancy and V.C. Andrews, who now have ghostwriters continuing their literary legacies. Ultimately, the question is not whether the stories are human-written, but rather whether they are entertaining. This issue will resolve itself, and businesses will either accept the current reality or face failure. Just my 2 cents :)
This smells of AI
At this point, we can:

- Get an AI to generate a news article in any narrative style we want. - Get an AI to convert that text to speech in any style we want. - Get an AI to produce video with any talking head we want saying that speech.

All the highly paid writers and anchors at Fox News, CNN, CBC, MSNBC should be worried. The nerds are coming!

Remember watching your favorite news anchors get old and finally die... our children won't.
Or they can watch them age in an accelerated fashion through the course of the hour of news and they finally die when they give their signature send off comment. And the cycle can begin anew every evening.

I mean, why not?

It should be noted that these articles are being written for Buzzfeed.com, not Buzzfeednews.com.

>"All the highly paid writers"

This is funnier than anything ever posted on Buzzfeed.com

I doubt that the quality of the content will get any worse, given where the BuzzFeed bar already was.
I bet these articles are generic, dry, and downright boring………huh lobster rolls in Brewster, MA, delicious! Seems like a nice place………AH the AI got me, we’re fucked
Utilizing artificial intelligence for article creation by the authors at Buzzfeed could be viewed as an innovative business move, without intending to sweeten the portrayal of their actions. This scenario highlights the idea of "Table As Set," suggesting that when a profitable opportunity is presented to the public, it's only natural for people to capitalize on it. If there's no desire for AI-generated content, then discontinue funding such endeavors and seek different business strategies. As technology progresses, discerning between human and AI-created content may become increasingly challenging. Moreover, these individuals can't be accused of plagiarism, as they're employing AI as ghostwriters, akin to how traditional publishers have utilized ghostwriters for years. This situation parallels those of late authors like Tom Clancy and V.C. Andrews, whose works are continued by ghostwriters. In the end, the main concern shouldn't be whether the content is human-created but if it's engaging. This matter will sort itself out, and companies must either adapt to the present circumstances or risk failure. Just sharing my thoughts!
This is obviously a joke reply, since it's just a rewording of goldenpreppy8's comment 6 hours before yours, but I feel like I don't understand the premise?

I know that explaining the joke kills it just as much as dissecting an insect, but I'm still curious. Are you making fun of BuzzFeed's recycling of stories, or is it because you feel that goldenpreppy8's comment has a writing style that is similar to current AI writing?

I thought I noticed BuzzFeed articles going up in quality recently.
