I'm not sure how much that software costs but bundling it with a M1 iPad should be still cost effective AND have more (more and more) than enough power to run everything. I don't have any relevant experience though so I can't tell if the OS makes it easy to fully utilize the hardware, which could be the real issue here regardless of the hardware
Using an iPad for a real time control app seems suspect to me.
You can make up for it with speed so it makes sense
I'm kind of blown away that they're using the actual ipad for time critical stuff like that, I thought for sure they would have a processor dedicated to it and the ipad just as the interface.
Why would you not switch it into a kiosk mode? Is it even possible to be done on iPad?
