Ask HN: How does Twitter Blue verification work behind the scenes?

A fellow founder purchased Blue for her company account and got the entire account suspended in the process.

She doesn't understand what could have caused this and they won't share specifics.

Does anyone know how the verification system works? I assume it's automated with some form of human supervision/decision? Does anyone know how much human-in-the-loop?
