The IRS is going through with their April 18 deadline for implementing the new battery requirements for the $7500 Federal EV subsidy. 37 cars now qualify, and probably 0 on April 19. New rules come down April 17. You have to take delivery by April 18 to qualify.

Also remember to reduce your withholding so you can get the $7500 non-refundable tax-credit.

Who's to say they won't have a different policy and credit in a few years when they realize their ICE ban is going to miss the deadline?
