Why is iPhone video sharing so Fing hard? Join Socialcam to solve this problem

Hello,

For the first time ever there are over 100 million people in America with video cameras in their pockets 24/7. Yet, when you ask your friend or neighbor how to share a video from their smartphone, the most common response is "I don't know".

What's even worse is that the apps on everyone's phones (Facebook, Youtube, and Camera) make video sharing so painful. The camera app attaches unnamed 20mb videos to emails! Requiring downloads and proprietary video players in the post Youtube era is ridiculous.

The companies behind these apps - Google, Apple, and Youtube - hate each other and have no incentive to work together to build a mobile video product that people want.

Thats where we come in!

At Socialcam - our goal is to build the default video app for your smartphone. We've already gotten a head start (3m downloads) but we want to move even faster.

We are a team of three co-founders (2 engineers and 1 business guy) with experience (lead video engineer from Justin.tv, lead rails engineer from Justin.tv, and former CEO of Justin.tv) funding, great advisors (YC, Founders Den, etc.) and tons of drive.

If you are interested in building the next huge online video company drop us a line - founders@socialcam.com
