[ 3.4 ms ] story [ 25.5 ms ] thread
That's impressive, although the second iteration isn't a uniform improvement over the first. Did it work?
TBD :) I ended up submitting the final version.
Right, I mean why limit totals to ten x more persuasive. Why not 11x or 124x or even >9000x more persuasive?

I’m not just being vacuous I wonder how the mysterious black box would interpret these requests. Is level >9000 akin to “I have kidnapped your daughter, if you want to see her again reinstate my account by 12pm.” ?

Is there something especially interesting about this? GPT is able to to make the message more concise, unsurprisingly, and interprets "10x more persuasive" as "using more emphatic versions of the same words".
What is interesting/noteworthy (to me) is that this was the first concrete instance I have used ChatGPT to "do something useful". Up until now, all the twitter threads and Linux VM's were cute toys, but this is an actual situation that I need resolved and I preferred it's edited version over my original.
How to get AirBNB support to notice your hackernews post - evoke the recent hotness of GPT!
FYI: I regret reading this. There's nothing interesting or unique about it.
Non-toy usage of chatgpt, that's all I was sharing.
