Ask HN: Getting started doing business in Canada

Looking for some advice on getting started in doing business in Canada. We are a services company that has a US website, but we want to start offering those services in Canada. Speaking with a Canadian lawyer and accountant, and they suggested creating a Canadian limited company. That's not really the issue though. We use Stripe for our US site, but not sure the best way of using Stripe in Canada. Do we open a separate Stripe account for the Canadian entity/services so that the proper VAT is collected? Or is there an easier way of doing this that I'm not seeing? Advice or your experience is appreciated.
