Ask HN: How to monetize a highspeed Internet connection?
Morning HN,
I'm getting fiber Internet installed next week. It offers 1gbps up + down with no caps for $60/m.
I saw an article about apps that pay about $0.20 per GB of bandwidth which makes the fiber connection worth (a hypothetical) $12/min.
Has anyone attempted monetizing their Internet connection for passive revenue with a similar method? If so, please share your story.

If homes are resources (e.g., providing shelter, building wealth, etc.), then monetizing those resources makes sense. The utility of a home is packaged as a rental. The utility of the sun can be captured and sold with solar panels atop that house.
Fiber is also a resource. Symmetrical 1GBPS transfer speeds without a bandwidth cap is also unusual. There must be some arbitrage opportunity here.
