Do you care to share any examples? It’s not clear what is hinduphobic of this or any other articles published. The article is clear that it targets a very extreme minority of all Hindus, and does not generalise.
We've banned the submitting account for breaking the site guidelines. There's no sense in which those posts are representative of the HN community. Any large public open forum is going to attract this kind of thing periodically, and we ban accounts for nationalistic and/or religious flamewar regardless of which nation or religion they're for or against.
At the same time, your account also has a history of breaking the site guidelines and using HN for nationalistic/religious battle. That's not ok, regardless of how badly other users are behaving or you feel they are. We ban accounts that do this repeatedly.
I don't want to ban you, because you've also contributed good comments, but we need you to stop posting like this to HN if you want to continue contributing here. If you wouldn't mind reviewing https://news.ycombinator.com/newsguidelines.html and taking the intended spirit of the site more to heart, we'd be grateful.
American here - classical yogas are an interesting phenomenon in the West and elsewhere. The Hatha Yogas of Sri BKS Iyengar are not exactly Hindu, for a reason. maybe Sikh's are able to do Yogas ? Buddhists? American suburbanites too?
Respect to the Hindus of the world and, some yoga traditions are not exclusively Hindu. namaste
Going by the history of OP, it seems to be a propaganda account targeting RSS with low quality article submission like this one. Is this allowed on HN?
Of course it's not allowed, and we've banned the account.
The best thing in such cases is to give us a heads up at hn@ycombinator.com so we can take care of it sooner. Often we have no idea that something like this is going on unless/until users tell us about it.
