Should I quit my job?
I am a entry level customer support engineer. Looks like this is not a very technical job. The contract is of 2 fcking years. If I leave early, I'd have to pay 3 months equivalent of salary. My degree is in computer engineering. IDK why tf I am doing this job. I wanted to spend some time learning various subjects like programming, software testing, linux, and get a job in devops or testing.
I also want to enter government service.
Currently, I have to do little bit of work in linux and sql.
When should I leave my job? My parents forced me to take up this job as I was unemployed for a long period.
this is what's written in contract:

[ 27.2 ms ] story [ 99.2 ms ] threadIs there a possibility they could just fire you right before the 2 years are up? Where are you located?
Ask in career subreddits https://www.reddit.com/r/CareerGuidance and https://www.reddit.com/r/AskHR and maybe https://careers.stackexchange.com, you'll get much better advice than on HN.
- does the company give you a development budget that you could use to do devops related courses etc?
- how much time is consumed doing the job? Could you use this job to fund your devops, software dev education part time?
Try to see if you can use this job as a stepping stone to where you want to be. If none of the above applies then by all means look for a way out.
