Three claims. The first two seem more true than false and the third one about Matt Taibbi's employment form seems more false than true.

Edit: Sorry people, due to a combination of downvoting and automated HN policies it seems I can't answer any more questions (I get told to "slow down"). Or in fact post or write anything anywhere else on HN. Thanks.

Matt Taibi is no more an employee of Substack than 3B1B is an employee of YouTube.
Yes, "more false than true".
No, just false.
Only a Sith deals in absolutes.
It's an abuse in language in every possible way. There is no evidence he is an employee. It is false.
I hope you understand nobody will ever take you seriously if you quote Star Wars or really any fictional work to make a point.
Not in this case, but generally speaking this isn't true, unfortunately. People accept any arguments that align with their views, and quotes are often "fancy".
No. This just means you interact with people who aren’t serious.
I guess you've never met anyone religious then. Some of them are dead serious.

This. The substack CEO never denied the first and second point.

1. Substack is throttled, not blocked

2. Substack IS using the twitter API to harvest data.

1. - throttled can almost be blocked depending on how much they are throttling them. 2. Its not clear if they have changed their API use or if Elon is just being a drama queen.
What do you mean by the first one seeming true? You can find lots of confirmations from various people. The links were either treated as malicious or blocked completely or could not retweeted/responded to. Apparently LinkedIn links as well for some time (https://infosec.exchange/@mikecherry/110161515670566728 no idea if that's still the case) The substack tweet could not be interacted with. (https://journa.host/@juddlegum/110159313955044120) There's many people confirming that.
“Trying to download a massive portion of the Twitter database”

What in the world does that even mean in a technical sense? Those are just words you’d use in a TV show or movie that have no technical merit.

Is he saying they were hacking Twitter? Or using the API, which is paid now? Like genuinely, what does point #2 even mean?

Musk repeatedly claims things that are False. This should not be a surprise anymore.
