I want to discuss here, what do you think, where are the good idea are comes from? Like solving problems for everyday life. Or going with the trend? Or new technologies that solves something makes opportunity for other things to come up. What do you think?

I think you need more than an idea, but a strategy. Good strategies come from understanding, which might come from research, or working in a field to gain experience. Read the YC launch posts when they happen to see what I mean. They usually are like this:

Cofounder and I worked in industry X for Y years and were frustrated by time-consuming/imperfect/costly problem Z while trying to achieve important objective W. We talked to other people in this situation and found insights A B and C. And then they go on to describe the product.

The strategy is the product plus how you will get it to market, how will it evolve, what are the first features, what are the human elements to the product, do you need a flashy modern site, or a short email to a targeted list, etc.

I think there are a class of ideas born out of an entrepreneurial spirit and tracking daily struggles. "oh this sucks, I can make it better, maybe people will pay me for my solution."

I think there is another class born out of experience or work at a job. "Oh the last 2 companies I worked at both had this exact same problem that I am now an expert in, maybe if I create a solution, companies will pay me money for it."

Both approaches work. You can come up with ideas to solve day to day problems or get invested to a trend and follow along.

What has helped me is journaling daily. It forces me to think critically of the content I consume and the direction I'm headed. Whenever something interesting that aligns with what I am passionate about shows up I know that's where I should lean towards.
