Why Would Anyone Bundle Cable Again?

I received an email ad from Verizon to bundle all my streaming (and other) services via their +play product: https://www.verizon.com/digital/nsa/nos/ui/products/ehub/home

Why would anyone do this? People just managed to cord-cut and finally get away from extractive 2yr plans with all downside (they can cancel portions of the service but continue to charge you) and no upside.

Are they relying on GenZ, who just dont know better, to fall for the same old tricks?

Sports. I want to watch my local MLB team. Almost every game is broadcast locally, but just a few on Steaming. Other than that I can't think of a reason.
I have a bundle because it's cheaper than buying the Internet service by itself. My bundle includes phone but I don't have the house phone connected to it. I also have a cable sports package to watch F1. It's also very annoying to have to search 4 or more streaming apps to find the movie or show I want to watch when Comcast has 90% of it. Cable still provides the biggest variety and there's 3 of us in the family. When Comcast works like it's supposed to, it's impressive.
