New map of Reddit built from 334M comments (anvaka.github.io)

Fascinating, it's like looking at a map of some foreign planet. Can you give some detail how you created this? Any interesting functionality to try out that is not obvious? I am just zooming in and out.

Edit: wow you can click around on the nodes and see the connections on the graph. It sounds like you were able to do some type of unsupervised learning algorithm to effectively "cluster" the various reddit groups.

that's cool, what was the subreddit size threshold for inclusion on the map?

Is that black spot next to Furry Nation the shadows that Simba was forbidden from going to?

This is a neat way to discover subreddits; arguably better than mechanisms already built into Reddit.

Also TIL that only ~15-20% of reddit is NSFW.

Very cool. And it has streetview mode. Would be nice if it linked to old.
