Ask HN: Inter-country network issues affecting UK (London/Slough)?

For the past 3 hours we've had major issues connecting to London/Slough servers from outside the UK (Asia specifically). Routing (tracert) from AWS Singapore to our UK servers was a mess - timeouts all the way. I'm curious how large an outage this was.
