That paper claims that Oumuamua can be explained as a natural object made of water ice, partly dissociated into hydrogen by cosmic-rays in interstellar space. Loeb's new research eliminates the only previously accepted explanation of Oumuamua as a natural object.
When Loeb informed a journalist of the calculation errors, the journalist explained that the media outlet for which he works would not post a correction in order "not to confuse the readers."
