* Will it be manufactured in the US? Apparently, yes, that seems to be the plan.

* Is the hardware being designed and built for GNU/Linux? Yes, that appears to be what System76 wants to do.

* Will it come with popular distros (e.g., Ubuntu) preinstalled? Yes, that's what System76 normally does.

* Does the company offers decent support? Yes. System76 has a good reputation when it comes to support.

* Has the company been around for a long while? Yes. Sytem76 has been around for nearly two decades.

System76's support UI is terrible, but they employ excellent people.
I kinda like their support UI. I mean, it won't win any design awards, but it's simple and it works.

If there's something you don't like about it, please tell them, so they can improve it.

That's a good point. The main thing is I wish there was a way for me to view open tickets I have besides searching through my email.
