I don’t really see how this is news. Except it sounds bad, which gets clicks.

Not really news, everybody being responsible. Failure not really unexpected, but you check and make sure everything is reasonable before you launch again.
It does imply now that SpaceX do require further regulatory approvals for resuming Starship launches.

Also most other news coverage wasn't indicating what FAA is going to do about it.
