I work at a big tech company (faang adjacent) and 5 years into my professional career I fail to deeply understand how businesses operate.

Any good books that’s basically business for the engineer kinda premise?

Businesses in general or your particular business? Your question is far too broad as is, it's as if asking how engineering teams operate, there are going to be a ton of different answers.

You need to discern a little better what you are actually trying to understand.
