Ask HN: Would a personalized marketplace powered by AI work?

For example,

If you're looking for specific pants but you can't find any online, you can prompt the AI to generate the pants that you want. You could give it the specifications, how you want it to look, etc., and it'll generate a visual of it.

Once generated, it matches the generated idea with someone that can actually create your idea (fashion designer). You receive the exact thing you're looking for, and the person gets compensated.

Is this viable?

It is inevitable.
That's what I think too.

I'm imagining like an Amazon, but more so that it connects you with people that can create whatever you're looking for.

Need a website? Prompt AI to generate an example and then let it connect you with someone that can build the whole thing.

Need custom shoes? Prompt AI to generate an idea of what you want it to look like and it'll connect you with someone that can create it.

Etc....

For the website, the AI can likely make it for you already or soon.

For clothing, print on demand but also, cut & sew on demand will be a thing. The AI can generate a pattern and send it to a human or robot to do it.

The promise of unlimited novelty and personalization to me feels very.. un-novel in some way. When everyone is different in every way, aren't we all kind of the same?
